LET YOUR HEART SONG BE HEARD
Trying to do your own business takes so much courage, drive, focus and most importantly relentless belief in yourself that what you are trying to achieve is of value, and that others will reap the benefits from what you share.
It is extremely challenging to continue to stand up and show up for yourself when there is the relentless inner judge, telling you that what is the point, you are never going to succeed, that you may as well focus your attention on finding a job where you can earn money to keep a roof over your head and food on the table.
For me, there is that voice but there is also this feeling deep within me, that I am made for so much more than playing it safe. That I made to go big or go home! That I made to shine so bright that success is the only possibility. That is what I feel in me.
It’s like a fire burning inside me that even when I try to maintain work, that I feel like are jobs that are a means to an end, that may bring me great financial abundance, it doesn’t fulfil me, and I am left feeling that deep desire for greatness. For more because the soul knows, deep down, that more is possible. That I am being limited by my own mind.
That, life is limitless, and I can have all that I desire. That I can have all I want. All I need to do is keep believing.
Keep monitoring the thoughts I have, the actions I take, the behaviours I play out, and always questioning, are they in alignment with what I desire. Is what I am projecting out into the world matching what I wish to receive?
I used to ask myself, what would a person of abundance do? By asking this question it immediately brings you into the space of fullness, wholeness and you can then make decisions, actions and behaviours, from this space of abundance, instead of a lack mindset. You come from wholeness, security within yourself. From there, the world truly feels limitless.
From there, you really feel that anything is possible in the world, and that really, you are only as limited as your imagination. So, if you can imagine it, dream it, then you can have it. You just need to believe it completely and fully. That if you desire it, it is already yours.
This post was inspired by John Farhnam’s songs. I was listening to them, particularly The Voice, and when I was listening to it, I was moved to tears. Tears, because I felt his words to be true. I could feel them in my heart. I could feel the power and emotion behind them and was moved by the strength and courage they invoked in me. It felt so powerful. So strong. So fierce. Sometimes when something moves me in this way, I have this thought pop into my head, imagine if they lost belief in themselves and their gift, imagine if they gave up and never followed through with their singing or writing songs, imagine that. We would have a world without this magnificent, awe-inspiring song, The Voice, and what an unfortunate thing that would be, because really, it is an amazing song! It is so powerful and so brave, bold and courageous. It immediately makes you feel like you can do anything in the world. So imagine a world without such a song. Imagine, if John Farnham thought, oh no I’m crap, I’ve got nothing to offer, this song is crap, no one will want to listen to it. Imagine, if he listened to such thoughts and that amazing song, and songs, I should add, for those of you who don’t know of him, he had multiple amazing songs, so imagine a world without such beauty. Without such an empowering, heart opening, gift.
So, next time you hear that voice within, telling you can’t do something, remember the amazing songs you love listening to, the paintings that invoke deep emotions, the movies that make you feel, someone created them. Someone, believed in themselves enough, to keep forging through the path of self-doubt and worry to create something so amazing, so moving, so inspiring. So why can’t you do the same? Why can’t you be, the next John Farnham, in whatever way you wish to be? Why can’t you be the next amazing, awe-inspiring, writer, coach, singer? Why not?
Go be your most amazing self! Be the truth of who you are! Let your beautiful heart song be heard!
